Office partitions are very common and widely used in offices, businesses, and reception desks in most premises around the globe. These partitions are often known as cube farms when many in number.

As your business expands or your needs changes, you might want to separate some workspaces. In this case, you’ll need to divide a larger space into smaller, separate spaces that are partially enclosed. Therefore, office partitions are a great way of dividing a larger workspace.

Partitions create workspaces with a wall height of 1.5 to 1.8 meters (5 to 6 feet). The partitions usually have an opening on one of the walls for the door.

Partitioning an office space makes it possible to isolate certain workspaces to allow for privacy by preventing distractions from sights and noise. Consequently, privacy and noise reduction allow employees to concentrate more on their work, thereby enhancing efficiency and productivity.

Shelving and work surfaces can be attached or hung on the partitions, thereby allowing for extra workspace and storage.

Although the term office partition is mostly used to refer to enclosed workspace cubicles, there’re other types and designs of office dividers that are either semi-permanent or permanent.

They include partitions such as walls built with plasterboard or timber studding. These partitions are installed according to the specific needs of the office.

Others are more sophisticated such as those with swiveling, movable, and sliding mechanisms.

Office dividers that use more sophisticated design appear like the old-school permanent walls. However, it’s actually easy to swivel or open these partitions.

You can even move them from one side to another. It’s easy to use them to enclose any space or combine small partitioned spaces into one, larger space.

Thus, these partitions come with many advantages since you can enlarge a space by removing the temporary partition. As such, it’s easy to setup temporary conference rooms and meeting rooms, something which is impossible with permanent walls.

One of the simplest types of partitions is using office screens. These screens are easy to work with. They’re designed to be mobile, making it easy to position them in any office location to create isolated workspaces with enhanced privacy.

These partitions are typically free-standing. They’re made using materials like glass, wood and fabric, metal and fabric, and some special boards. Office screens are either desk mounted or floor mounted.

Some require being fixed while others are not fixed such that they’re placed anywhere as needed, making them easy to relocate with changing office needs.

Office dividers come in different designs. Each design is ideal for certain applications.

Designs vary from basic screens to highly fashionable and extremely attractive systems that enhance any workspace. Consequently, they enhance the mood among the employees. For more information, visit our homepage.
